Joo Yeon is a Korean-born, British violinist who studied at the Purcell School and then the Royal College of Music.

She has won numerous awards and comes to us through a Making Music award scheme.

I was interested to read about her composition skills and particularly with reference to a piece called “Cold Dark Matter” which was influenced by the significant sculptor, Cornelia Parker. Irina is a regular duo partner and she is involved professionally with RCM so that is another nice connection for us in Rhyl.
