Wednesday 21 October

  • Haydn Quartet in E flat, Op. 33 No. 2, Hob. III:38 “Joke”
  • Shostakovich Quartet no.4
  • Beethoven Quartet No. 4 in C minor, Op. 18 No. 4

String quartets improve over time – they can develop over years or decades whereas this may be less significant with smaller ensembles.

The Carduccis have been together for a long time now and their reputation is considerable. I am confident that we shall have a concert to match the wonderful evening supplied by the Piatti Quartet last season.
