- Tim Lowe, cello
- Stephen Gutman, piano
Tim Lowe is an award winning cellist who is making a considerable reputation and he appears regularly at music
clubs across the country as well as being the Guest Principal cellist at the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. He has assembled a varied programme from Boccherini through Beethoven to Franck for his Rhyl visit and an extra highlight
will be a short solo cello piece by Ligeti.
Stephen Gutman accompanies Tim regularly but also has a solo career. He commissions new work and his rendition of Birtwhistle’s “Harrison’s Clocks” has gained him a considerable reputation quite apart from his career as Professor of Piano at the Guildhall.
Especially pleasing as a contrast to modern music is his interest in the music of Rameau and he intends to record much of it in the near future.
Tim Lowe is sponsored by the Countess of Munster Music.
