Elizaveta, from Belarus and Ana, from Romania, are currently at the Royal College of Music, where Elizaveta is studying for a Master’s degree and Ana is a junior fellow doing her Artist Diploma.. Elizaveta came to Rhyl three seasons ago with her string quartet to accompany pianists from Chetham’s in Mozart concertos and guaranteed that she would return to Rhyl. The plan is that she will do so with Ana next season but meanwhile we have the pleasure of this virtual premiere.
Both musicians have considerable experience and have gained awards. Elizaveta has a full RCM scholarship and was a Drake Calleja scholar.. She has performed across Europe and currently holds a Lydia Napper Award at RCM and a Stephen Bell Trust scholarship. Ana is a Kenneth and Violet Scott artist and studies with Roger Vignoles among others.
The recording takes place at RCM and, in case you wonder about the violin, it is a Tononi and on loan from RCM.
Their programme includes a Fauré violin sonata and the César Franck sonata.
This concert is being supported by Mr & Mrs R G Parry
