Gerard Flotats – cello, Ellis Thomas – piano
Ellis met Gerard at a music course in Spain and they formed a duo being like-minded musically. I invited Ellis to learn all 5 Beethoven cello sonatas and these will come to us over two concerts this season.
Gerard is from Catalonia but presently studies at the Royal Academy, where Ellis is headed after the summer. Gerard is principal cellist of the EU Youth Orchestra among other ensembles. We know about Ellis because he has performed for us over many years from accompanying to duo to solo.
