In York last week to hear “I, Clara” with Lucy Parham, pianist and actor Harriet Walter as narrator
Much enjoyment from the event. As a music club we find such events way out of our financial range but our own event required a pianist – similar fee to a solo concert – while Denis Lavin researched, wrote and narrated the Chopin event free. And he was excellent as many will remember.
The question now is – should we do another similar event, perhaps for season 23-4, since a lot of preparation would be essential?
If so please let me know but I have in mind the composer Liszt whose life and music were interesting and controversial.
